American Style Corned Beef Hash
Everyone has their favourite Corned Beef Hash recipe, indeed most of us have a few different ways of making it. Here it is in a different take from the USA, try it - Buddy you'll make it again and again.
Corned Beef
Potatoes
Carrots
Garlic
Bacon
Peppers
Onions
Tabasco
Worcester Sauce
Passata
Parsley
Eggs
Method: Parboil Potatoes and add sliced Carrots, in a frying pan add sliced Onions, Bacon pieces, Chopped Pepper, Garlic, fry gently until Onions clear. Drain Potatoes and Carrots (keep the cooking water) and add to the frying pan, add cubed Corned Beef, put a plate over the mixture, press down for a moment and allow to fry for a couple of minutes, stir and turn over and continue for a few minutes.
Then add two tablespoons of Worcester Sauce and one of Tabasco, season, then add about half a mug of Passata, add more reserved water if too dry, stir around, put a lid on and allow to gently cook for about fifteen mins. Meanwhile heat the oven to 180. Place the mixture on a baking tray and put back in the oven till browned on top 15 mins ish.
The Americans say 'Love is like Corned Beef Hash - it must be taken with blind faith or it loses it's flavour'.
Serve with Poached Eggs
