Mushrooms with a creamy garlic sauce with pine nuts and Parmesan

 

In every home there is that person who's eyes light up when presented with a bowl of well made mushrooms with a creamy garlic sauce. This lovely dish has pine nuts and Parmesan cheese too.

Melt two ounces of butter in a frying pan and add a punnet of mushrooms that have had their stalks removed but whole otherwise. Heat gently for about ten minutes or until they lose their water and add a clove or two of garlic that has been crushed, you'll fish it out later. Then take off the heat and add slowly some milk or cream, add a tablespoon of pine nuts, gently heat for another ten minutes, then grate over some Parmesan, season and stir.

Serve it to that person and watch their eyes light up as they say, 'Wow!'
