How to make mulled cider

How to make mulled Cider - easy recipe and would be great to make it in, and serve it from, a slow cooker at an event.

The word 'wassail' comes from the Anglo-Saxon phrase 'waes hael', which means 'good health'. Originally, the wassail was a drink made of mulled ale, now mulled cider which was typically drunk on festivities such as twelfth night, when drunken louts would raise a glass to individual trees. You tho can serve it at party's where drunken individuals dance to Abba.

Ingredients:-
Cider 4 cans
Orange
Brown Sugar
Nutmeg
Star anise
Cloves
Cinnamon stick
All spice berries
Brandy

So you'll need some cider of your choice, decant into a pan, add the zest of an orange then cut it into segments and add, a couple of oz of brown sugar, a glass of apple juice, some nutmeg, a star anise, a clove or two, a cinnamon stick, some allspice berries. Then add some liquor - it should be Calvados or Brandy, but it's your punch so add what you have - I added Jim Beam Honey.

Bring to a simmer for twenty minutes, allow to cool a little and enjoy.
