Mustard Toast


This is one of them, a kind of err, 'do I include this?' But then I hadn't heard about this until I found it in a Dutch cookbook years ago, so well here it is - yep humble Mustard Toast. In der Netherland its served with their lovely Flemish Stew on top of the bowl. But I serve it with anything thats got lots of liquid, a stew, an onion soup... Whatever.

When cooked the mustard caramalises and becomes sweet but still retains its taste, and all you do is smother mustard on bread and put it in the oven for a few minutes as your casserole is becoming ready.
